They may not be the perfect match…But they’re having fun.

Going to the chapel, and her sister is going to get married…no matter what.

Josie Cole might be unlucky in love, but she’s a pro at matching other couples. When her sister gets married to the man of her dreams, it’ll be Cole Matchmaking Services one-hundredth match, and secure Josie a television special that would boost business.

Private investigator–and werewolf–Ryder McManus doesn’t believe in marriage. Catching cheating spouses has taught him there is no such thing as happily ever after. But then he never expected to find his fated mate, Josie, at his best friend’s wedding festivities.

When Josie and Ryder are together, the chemistry heats up. While he’s trying to stop the wedding, she’ll do whatever it takes to give the couple a dream day. But the secret he’s trying to expose might just ruin everything…

WHAT A WEREWOLF WANTS is a cute, humorous, romance of which I've come to gladly expect from one of Kristin Miller's books. While a tad predictable in the outcome the story was fun and a very quick and enjoyable read. Considering this story takes place around a wedding there are a few amusing wedding hi jinks. To add to the stress the wedding is being filmed which forces a few coded conversations and odd moments since Josie is trying to desperately hide the fact that the groom grows fur on occasion. One of the most hilarious moments is the big werewolf reveal that happens after a very drunken night before the wedding of Josie's sister.

I liked the idea Josie, a successful matchmaker, finally finding her match. She has a special ability to be able to match people perfectly which is pretty cool. I was bummed though that there was no elaboration or explanation for this ability. Her match, Ryder and Josie fit well together and they really do challenge each other to rethink their set points of view as the story progresses and certain secrets of the furry variety are revealed.  Josie's sister Carrie and her fiance Mitch are nice secondary characters whose quick courtship I would have loved to read about.

One thing I found a bit odd was the very standalone quality of each of the books in this series are considering the series is about the San Francisco wolf pack. There's no connection to previous couples or even much of  a pack involvement in the werewolves' lives. It's not a bad thing, just different from other pack based series' I've come across where the werewolf pack as a whole is a big component of the story.

Wedding drama, furry secrets, and matchmaking hijinks galore create a cute and hilarious story in WHAT A WEREWOLF WANTS.
