Release Day Review: Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs

Release Day Review: Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs

March 11, 2014 Review 2 ★★★★

In NIGHT BROKEN our favorite coyote shifter not only has to deal with a raging Polynesia god, a missing Coyote, but also family issues surrounding Adam’s ex-wife. I would say the battles where Mercy gets beaten up (yet again!) in this book kind of reflect how she is feeling inside in regards to the Adam’s ex-wife Christy, all black and

Review: Labyrinth of Stars (Hunter Kiss, #5) by Marjorie M. Liu

February 27, 2014 Review 0 ★★★★

Every time I pick up a Hunter Kiss novel I fall in love with the world building and the amazing writing style that has marked this series has one of my favorites. LABYRINTH OF STARS more than met my expectations of a Hunter Kiss story (I’d recommend reading at least IRON HUNT before digging into this series with this book).

Early 5bat! Review: Magic Rises (Kate Daniels #6) by Ilona Andrews

July 19, 2013 Review 10 ★★★★★

I’ve run out of awesome things to say about the Kate Daniels series, but fortunately Ilona Andrews hasn’t run out of writing books that make me want to say them. MAGIC RISES is the latest and one of the greatest books featuring the deadly smart and brilliantly lethal Kate Daniels who this time leaves her magically mucked up Atlanta, braves a monster invested ocean, for a castle full of homicidal shapeshifters on an island in the Black Sea.

Early Review: Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson #7) by Patricia Briggs

March 1, 2013 Review 6 ★★★★

It’s been two years since the last Mercy Thompson novel was published, but life for these characters hasn’t remained completely stagnant. If you’ve been reading the other series set in the Mercy Thompson world, Alpha and Omega, you know that some seriously huge stuff has happened regarding the Fae. We predicted that the fallout would hit Tri-Cities, and it did.

Early Review: Steel’s Edge (The Edge #4) by Ilona Andrews

November 26, 2012 Review 5

Ilona Andrews is one of the most consistently satisfying paranormal authors writing today. Whether it’s the grittier Kate Daniels urban fantasy series or the more rural The Edge paranormal romances. Picking up an Ilona Andrews book is always a good idea, but it’s especially true when a series ends as strongly as this one does in STEEL’S EDGE.

Review: Personal Demon (Laws of the Blood #6) by Susan Sizemore

September 29, 2012 Review 0 ★★★

PERSONAL DEMON is difficult book to review. Not because it’s bad, but because it’s so average on just about every level. The characters are fine though not really memorable, the plot is descent though nothing that really captivates, and the romance was pretty standard without any real excitement.
