PRIDE AND PROMETHEUS is not only a clever, thought-provoking mash-up between two beloved stories -Frankenstein and Pride and Prejudice – it expertly captures the tone and themes of each book.  There is such an excellent balance between Gothic Horror and Regency Romance.

In A FACE LIKE GLASS your face will freeze like that. Maybe it’ll be stuck in Face No. 456, Joyous Rapture at Excellent Characters, or Face No. 943, Unbridled Excitement for Plot Development. Either way, you’ll be smiling throughout. In the world of Caverna facial expressions have to be taught. The poor only know a few expressions (happy and dutiful) while the rich learn all the intricacies.

5Bat! Review: The Boy On The Bridge (The Girl with All the Gifts #2), by M. R. Carey

The events of THE BOY ON THE BRIDGE overlap with what happens in THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS. It isn’t necessary to have read the first book, there are definite points that will be less fun if you’re not caught up on what happened in the first book.

What I loved best about THE BOY ON THE BRIDGE was the the way the military and scientific communities played off each other.
