HARD BREAKER is a fun, action-filled book that works shockingly well as a standalone book especially considering it is the last book in a series. The flashback introduction helps set the world of Guardians/gargoyles and magic in just a few pages getting you up to speed on the who, why, and what of the overall story arc.

I was pretty consistently amused by everything in BOOKE OF THE HIDDEN which is one of my favorite feelings to have while reading. From the absolutely ridiculous plot, quirky small town characters, to the kind of random and weird but working for me romance between Kylie and Erasmus.
