A few days after finishing WYNTER’S BITE, I’m still not entirely sure how I feel about it. In the past, I’ve enjoyed the Scandals With Bite series quite a bit, but WYNTER’S BITE didn’t have the same feel as the previous books in the series, and I didn’t like it as much.
Series: Scandals With Bite
HIS RUTHLESS BITE is just as delicious as the previous books in the Scandals With Bite series. With romantic moments balanced out by suspenseful situations, HIS RUTHLESS BITE offers readers the rare combination of historical and paranormal romance, and does it very well.
The least historical feeling of the Scandals With Bite series, BITE AT FIRST SIGHT has all the hallmarks of a good paranormal romance novel. It’s got some hot sexual tension, some good old hidden feelings of love, and some supernatural drama, as well.
While not veering far from the historical romance formula, ONE BITE PER NIGHT still manages to delight the reader with it’s fun heroine, brooding hero, and matchmaking side characters. This is paranormal romance at its finest, with the romance taking center stage, and the paranormal just being one aspect of the story. One may worry that with the combination of historical and paranormal romance, that Ann would do neither well, but instead, she excels at both, with a wonderful story and world I can’t wait to revisit.
BITE ME, YOUR GRACE had everything I like in a romance novel. A headstrong young woman? Check. Strong and sensual love interest? Double check. A ridiculous plot line full of twists and turns preventing them from getting together? You know it! But while this book had all the standard components, it was still remained fresh and new.
