The Magic Born series has been, so far, a very well done, consistently written series, and I was hoping for similar in FIREWALL. After Lizzie and Vadim, I wasn’t sure if any couple could be better, or if there would be as much delving into the world. Luckily, FIREWALL delivered everything I hoped for.
Series: Magic Born
Having enjoyed TRANCEHACK, I was really looking forward to WITCHLIGHT. With its fascinating world, awesome romance, and great characters, WITCHLIGHT lived up to my expectations and more. Though it is the second book in the Magic Born series, nothing about WITCHLIGHT says sophomore slump – if anything, it’s even better than the first!
Intrigued but not entirely sure what to expect from TRANCEHACK, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the end of it. A mixture of genres- urban fantasy, crime drama, romance and with a bit of a dystopian government thrown in- TRANCEHACK is a bit hard to explain, but a very captivating read. While I had some minor issues with the book, it was easy to read, very original, and kept my attention the entire time I was reading it.
