One of the aspects I enjoyed about DRAGON FALL was the world building. I love seeing different takes on dragon lore and this one was especially unique. The story follows Aoife as she begins to discover this strange new world filled with dragons except of course she discovers it at a time when there is the greatest conflict and danger for the dragons.
When the world is about to end according to a prophecy of course you are going to get a wild and crazy ride from the characters in the Accidentally Yours series. Being the last book in the series, ACCIDENTALLY…OVER? is filled with hilarious moments and a pretty entertaining storyline. The pacing is quick but the story can be confusing if you are starting the series with this book.
One of the most common tropes in romantic literature and even romantic comedies is the couple who at first absolutely hate each other and eventually fall in love after some trials and tribulations or hilarious hijinks. EVERNIGHT takes this type of relationship and starts right out the gate with Thorne seriously threatening to kill Holly. I was kind of surprised to see the death threats starting out so soon in the story so I was quite interested to see just how these two would go from wanting to commit homicide to love.
The Darkest London series teases your expectations, pretends to follow the rules, and then goes all terrain through the underbrush of unexpected events. Despite containing elements of a great Paranormal Romance and an enthralling Historical Fantasy, Callihan’s stories manages to break all the rules and become something altogether different.
