Right off the bat, UNDER HIS SKIN hit all the right paranormal romance notes for me: easy to relate to characters, two people who are crazy about each other but are kept apart by outside forces/their own will, and sexy protagonists from outer space. What more can you ask for? Well for one, it could have used a bit more science-fiction “science”, but it didn’t ruin the book for me.

I love paranormal romance books that don’t take themselves too seriously. I always find that it’s easier to get through a book when I am laughing, and BABY’S GOT BITE had plenty of humour and ridiculous situations in it while still managing to have believable characters and truly emotional scenes.
A fun, zany romance, HIS SECRET SUPERHEROINE gives the familiar “big secret” romance trope a superhero twist. With an underlying message about tolerance and risk, the surface of this story zips along with funny dialog and don’t-need-super-sight-to-see-it-coming conflicts.
One of my favorite types of romance are the ones between old friends or partners who become lovers. SO I MARRIED A WEREWOLF plays with this trope excellently though I was frustrated at Faith and Carter and kept shouting at them to just tell each other how they feel. These two oozed chemistry from every pore from their banter to their personalities which made me flip the
I’ll fully admit to being in a sucker-for-a-kilt stage in my reading tastes, which is why I decided to read this one just on the cover alone. Apart from issues with occasional sketchy choices with accent-writing for their Scottish burr, I was mostly satisfied on that front.
I don’t know if it’s a throwback to being raised Catholic, but I just can’t seem to get enough of angel-themed books. TRUSTING AN ANGEL did absolutely nothing to disavow me of that love.
DON’T BLACKMAIL THE VAMPIRE was exactly what I would’ve expected as a sequel to DON’T BITE THE BRIDESMAID: cute, sweet romance with a dash of intrigue thrown in. It was a perfect story for me to enjoy on one of those rainy April afternoons when I was cooped up inside.
SEX & THE SINGLE VAMP had all the aspects of a vampire romance I like. Pairing of vampires of similar ages? Check! Centuries of sexual tension resolving itself? Check! A smoking hot hero and a heroine who isn’t afraid to stand her ground? Check and check again! The perfect little evening read, SEX & THE SINGLE VAMP is cute, tense, and sexy, and definitely worth a look.
LOVE AT STAKE is exactly what it sounds like – a rather cheesy paranormal romance featuring a vampire. So long as you keep that in mind, you’ll be rewarded with a sexy, slightly brooding hero, a spunky heroine, and a lot of fun sexual tension. LOVE AT STAKE is the perfect little escape for a few hours of guilty pleasure fun.
