SINNER’S HEART, the third installment in The Hellraisers series, has one of the most unique heroines I have ever read in a romance novel- a ghost. While this gave the book an original feel, it didn’t help the rather lackluster romance plot line. Readers who are familiar with The Hellraisers will most likely be satisfied with this book, because it offers a very clear and gratifying conclusion to the trilogy.
Genre: Paranormal Romance
The world building in THE DEMON’S DAUGHTER is fascinating with its intricate mix of demons, goddesses, and a gritty Wild West-like setting. Equally fascinating is the beautifully written yet tragic story of love and betrayal.
RISING DARKNESS melds the best of thrillers and fantasy to create a kaleidoscope of passion, adrenaline, and magic. Harrison is unmatched in her ability to breath new life into the familiar romantic genres, and her exploration of these cosmic soul-mates results in another gorgeously written relationship.
BITE ME, YOUR GRACE had everything I like in a romance novel. A headstrong young woman? Check. Strong and sensual love interest? Double check. A ridiculous plot line full of twists and turns preventing them from getting together? You know it! But while this book had all the standard components, it was still remained fresh and new.
FLIRTING UNDER A FULL MOON looked and sounded like a super cute paranormal romance. Unfortunately, I was more than a little let down after reading this book, since it was pretty much a boilerplate paranormal romance with frustrating main characters and a boring, forgettable plot.
When I started WOLF WITH BENEFITS, based on the title and the cover, I was excepting cheesy paranormal romance. And, to be fair, though WOLF WITH BENEFITS is a bit cheesy, it’s also clever, fun, and a really enjoyable read, with some great characters and laugh out loud moments.
TWICE TEMPTED continues the thrilling roller coaster ride that is Jeaniene Frost’s Night Prince series. I was miffed that we were left with a cliffhanger in ONCE BURNED so I was eagerly anticipating more dark and dangerous adventures with the very sexy
If I am being completely honest here, when I started IMMORTALLY EMBRACED, I was really hoping for some more deliciously sexy Galen and Petra scenes. I was disappointed on that front, however, this book was a satisfying read regardless. This is a case when the second book is as good, if not better, than the first book.
WHAT’S A WITCH TO DO? is a fun paranormal mystery with a lot of humor and a steamy romance. The mystery of who wants Mona dead was well plotted and I had fun analyzing everyone’s motives along with Mona. I liked the small town of Goodnight
THE CHOSEN feels like a delicious mix of Wild Wild West and Indiana Jones with paranormal touches. Luckily the details about the overarching relic quest and demon mythology were explained throughout the story without dragging the plot in order to catch new series readers up.
