SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER is a good read with witty banter between two strong shifters and a plot that evolves into something bigger than you think it will be when starting the story. The rhythm of the plot is pretty steady and moves in a typical way you’d expect from a book in the Heart of the Wolf series.

BETWEEN A WOLF AND A HARD PLACE is a sweet romance story with some added ghost mysteries to spice things up a bit. I love a good ghost story so I was pretty engaged in figuring out just why Brett’s aunt is haunting a piano installed in Ellie’s hotel.
This book was almost entertaining, but between the blatant use of romance tropes and the saccharine quality of the plot with made my stomach turn, I was annoyed with it by the time I put it down. If this was the first paranormal romance book I’d ever read, I would have never picked up another.
Werewolves not necessary to this story, and it would have probably been an okay suspense romance without it – in fact, it probably would have been better for me. The key mythology issue was so badly introduced that I didn’t really understand any of the characters’ motivations for the first half of the book.
I was drawn to ALPHA WOLF NEED NOT APPLY, not just because its a Terry Spear story but I thought we might get a romance with a beta wolf which I haven’t been able to find much of. What we got was close enough and awesome.
I had always meant to read this series since I have read and enjoyed Terry Spear’s other shifter series Heart of the Wolf. Like usual I jumped into reading a series right in the middle with the fourth book and luckily like Heart of the Wolf, Heart of the Jaguar is a series you can just jump into with out any confusion.
A HIGHLAND WOLF CHRISTMAS is a wonderfully sweet holiday romance stock full of kilted Scotsmen who relish in sword fighting and castles with many a hidden nook to have your romantic trysts in. Both Calla and Guthrie are featured in previous book in this series so it was neat to finally see more of these two and learn more about their lives.
Full of strapping alpha werewolves that would make me weak in the knees before they ever started saying “lass…” A HIGHLAND WEREWOLF WEDDING was exactly what I was expecting. It is your typical romance: boy meets girl, pretty predictable conflicts ensure, boy and girl end up together happily ever after. Though I wasn’t surprised, A HIGHLAND WEREWOLF WEDDING was well written, easy to pick up out of series order, and featured a great couple with tons of chemistry. A contemporary romance set in Scotland, it also had a bit of a historical feel to it, likely because of the abundance of castles, daggers and kilts.
