DEJA NEW follows DEJA WHO with the same amount of humor, sarcasm, and interesting storytelling. Between the characters’ parenthetical inner monologues, flashbacks, and footnotes, DEJA NEW is a creatively told romance with a heavy dose of mystery.
Author: MaryJanice Davidson
UNDEAD AND DONE was a wonderfully crazy ending to a hilarious series. I love how this series is so unapologetic in its absurdity and quirkiness. In this final book Betsy is running Hell, being a vampire queen, and dealing with the vampire revelation to the human world.
I will admit it: I started reading DEJA WHO solely because it is set in Chicago. But I continued reading it for the originality, the wit, and the mystery. First in a new series, DEJA WHO is a huge departure for Davidson after the 15 book Undead series. Focusing on the prickly Leah, an Insighter, somebody who can see people’s past lives, the world is creative and original, the romance is sweet, and the mystery is nothing too scary.
UNDEAD AND UNFORGIVEN is yet another wild and crazy entry in the hilarious and busy Undead series. This being the second last book in the series means there is really no slowing down for a breath in the story. I loved every crazy page of this book and I really want to know just where this story is going and how it’s going to end because I haven’t a clue.
This short story was incredibly cute and extremely hilarious. Hailey Derry has the type of superpower I would love to have where anything I eat can be transformed into super powered energy to fight crime with.
