The Execution Underground is a great example of a wonderful paranormal romance series. With sexy heroes and strong heroines, characters you can care about from one book to the next, and an interesting setting, the series has become one I get excited about whenever a new book is released. IMMORTAL HUNTER, however, fell a little short for me, compared to the prequel novella, SHADOW HUNTER, and book one in the series, TWILIGHT HUNTER.

Coming off the high of SHADOW HUNTER, TWILIGHT HUNTER, the first full novel in the Execution Underground series, had a lot to live up to. Unfortunately, Jace and Frankie just didn’t do it for me in the way that Damon and Tiffany did, though I did enjoy the book. If you were looking for any kind of resolution of the cliffhanger that SHADOW HUNTER left us with, don’t pick up TWILIGHT HUNTER expecting any answers. What you will find, however, is a hot romance, some major action, and a mystery, to boot.

Early Review: After Dark (Execution Underground #0.5) by Gena Showalter and Kait Ballenger

Rarely does a book manage to sucker punch me on the very last sentence. By that point I’ve usually guessed the possible outcomes and it’s hard to surprise me. But AFTER DARK, a prequel novella to Kait Ballenger’s new series, Execution Underground, did just that. Leaving me speechless and wanting more, AFTER DARK packs action, romance and an underground society of vampire hunters into 200 amazing pages.
