FEEL THE BURN was the eight book in the Dragon Kin series, but there was so much going on that it felt like the twentieth book – it had too much overarching plot and not enough of the main characters for my liking.
Author: G. A. Aiken
DRAGON ON TOP was the perfect blend of fun and sexy, with tons of new mythology and interesting insights into the series; I adored it!
The main Dragon Kin storyline takes place a few hundred years (at least) after the events of DRAGON ON TOP, which is great since the story has gotten a bit heavy in the last books and it’s fabulous to read about the Southlands without the baggage.
This is the Dragon Kin book I’ve been waiting for! A perfect balance of action, humor, and romance, Aiken does a fantastic job keeping her enormous cast of characters in line (and hilarious).
As bawdy, crass, and hilarious as anything I could have hoped for, THE DRAGON WHO LOVED ME is a chest thumping, mead-hall rocking, enemy slaying brawl of a good book. I had a hard time catching up with the politics and world, but that was my own fault for starting with book number five of the Dragon Kin series. Once Rhona and Vigholf were off alone on their mission, however, I was able to just relax and enjoy the wit, the slap-stick, and the romance.
