One of the genre tags on the Goodreads page for DEADER HOMES AND GARDENS is “cozy mystery” and that is a very accurate description for this book and in fact the whole series. It’s the type of book to read for someone looking for a ‘scary but not pants-wetting scary ‘ book to read on a cold October evening.
Author: Angie Fox
Biker witches, sassy dialogue, and demon slaying are the key ingredients for fun antics in Angie Fox’s Demon Slayer series. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEMON SLAYER, adds a dash of voodoo alligator zombies to this already perfect recipe of a series, and the result is more awesomeness.
SOUTHERN SPIRITS is a fun and surprisingly fast read. I enjoy some quirk in these light paranormal stories and this book is full of quirks from Verity’s pet skunk to the many types of ghosts with their own odd issues and relationships. The story follows Verity on her attempt to solve a decades old murder mystery in order to get money to pay off her debt and keep her house.
BEVERLY HILLS DEMON SLAYER is a fun book with some wacky dialogue, wonky magic, and weird creatures. This was yet another series that I am starting six books in but luckily it can be read as a standalone. The plot is pretty straightforward and even at its darkest moments it is able to keep things pretty light with a witty comment or two.
If I am being completely honest here, when I started IMMORTALLY EMBRACED, I was really hoping for some more deliciously sexy Galen and Petra scenes. I was disappointed on that front, however, this book was a satisfying read regardless. This is a case when the second book is as good, if not better, than the first book.
Slightly misleading cover aside (I would have bet money this was a vampire book), IMMORTALLY YOURS, the first book in Angie Fox’s Monster M*A*S*H paranormal romance series is a fast, fun read with an out of this world premise. The old and new gods from Greek mythology are in an epic war and both sides are drafting from the human/semi-human population for life long duty.
