For a lover or romantic suspense novels, and a lover of were-everything, HER WILD HERO should have hit all my buttons, and it nearly did.
The love story takes a while to develop, which is nice; it’s great to see characters who have to work through their issues and misgivings before falling into bed together, and Kendra and Declan have a bunch of those to work out.
Dark Instincts starts with an awesome attention-grabbing action scene that had my jaw dropping as I realized what was happening. Roni and Marcus are two fun, sexy and aggressive characters that I had fun getting to know.
I need to preface this review with a confession: I have read most, if not all, of the Argeneau vampire series, and if I hadn’t, I am not sure I would have enjoyed THE IMMORTAL WHO LOVED ME as much as I did. Still, there are a bunch of things to like in this latest instalment.
Set in summertime Paris, MOONLIGHT AND DIAMONDS features an American werewolf alpha, looking for the right werewolf gal to start his own pack, and a cold Parisian beauty who has been running away from her wild side for years. For such a short book, the evolution of the characters and their relationship was believable and mostly well-paced. The mystery was fun and the varied paranormal world-building was interesting.
DEADEYE, the first book in The Mutant Files series by Dietz, has a kick-ass cover, a potentially awesome premise, and not much else.
