FLIRTING UNDER A FULL MOON looked and sounded like a super cute paranormal romance. Unfortunately, I was more than a little let down after reading this book, since it was pretty much a boilerplate paranormal romance with frustrating main characters and a boring, forgettable plot.

When I started WOLF WITH BENEFITS, based on the title and the cover, I was excepting cheesy paranormal romance. And, to be fair, though WOLF WITH BENEFITS is a bit cheesy, it’s also clever, fun, and a really enjoyable read, with some great characters and laugh out loud moments.
If I am being completely honest here, when I started IMMORTALLY EMBRACED, I was really hoping for some more deliciously sexy Galen and Petra scenes. I was disappointed on that front, however, this book was a satisfying read regardless. This is a case when the second book is as good, if not better, than the first book.
DEATH, DOOM AND DETENTION was a good book that isn’t perfect, but still a light, fun read. The underlying premise is different from a lot of paranormal YA I’ve read recently- instead of brooding werewolves or sexy vampires, we’ve got hot angels and terrifying ghosts. And while sometimes the premise verges on ridiculous, we still have some great characters, plenty of teenage angst and obviously, some supernatural drama.
DANCE OF SHADOWS immediately sucked me in with the beautiful cover and mysterious blurb. I was hoping for a combination of Black Swan and Center Stage with paranormal elements. What I got was an interesting premise that could have been a great story, but unfortunately fell flat with poor pacing, bland characters and laughable dialogue.
I liked BITTERSWEET BLOOD way more than I was anticipating. It featured a sexy vampire and a woman with a secret so hidden even she doesn’t know it, with enough action and mystery to keep me hooked the entire time. There were so many things to like- strong leads, great sexual tension, and even laugh out loud funny parts amongst it all.
I enjoyed STRANGE FATES quite a bit. As one of those dorky kids who loved Greek mythology, the premise of the Fates mixed with the descendants of Greek Gods existing in the modern day Midwestern US is right up my alley. However, while I loved the world building and mythological aspects, there were some things that detracted from my enjoyment.
A CONSPIRACY OF ALCHEMISTS is a very good debut novel. While not perfect, it was an easy read, with plot twists, a great leading lady, and a sweet hint of romance.
HOW TO SEDUCE AN ANGEL IN 10 DAYS was a light, goofy paranormal romance that I had a good time reading. My only issue was that since it was third in the 10 Days series, I was missing out on a lot of plot that happened in the two previous books, which made the story a little hard to get into. Luckily, there was a cute main couple, great supporting characters and lots of laughs to keep me interested.
Picking up IMMORTAL EVER AFTER, the eighteenth Argeneau book, and not having read any previous installments, I was concerned that I would be lost, or missing significant backstory. Luckily, I got a fun story with some great main characters and interesting supporting characters, that didn’t involve too much catching up for me to understand.
