One family brings its own brand of justice to the streets of Chicago’s shadowy underworld as #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan returns to a series hot enough to burn…

The paparazzi can’t get enough of infamous bad boy Giovanni Ferraro. But unknown to them–and the women he beds–he’s just playing a role. Keeping the spotlight on himself keeps it off the family business. And if this lethal shadow rider can’t hunt in the dark, he’ll find his pleasure elsewhere…

Sasha Provis grew up on a Wyoming ranch and thought she knew how to protect herself from predators. But in the nightclub where she works, she’s fair game–until one of the owners steps in to protect her. Giovanni is gorgeous. He’s dangerous. And his every touch takes her breath away.

The devil at her heels may have finally met its match…

Kate Says

While I love this series, the covers are a little boring. I am happy that the models are generally wearing clothing though. And the shadows are relevant to the story, even if a bit poorly done.

Rebecca Says

The first thing that comes to mind is ‘bland’. The shadows on the cover model just look like he’s gazing absently through a curtain.

Is she supposed to be in water? Because that is what it looks like. I do like the colors though.

Rebecca Says

The floating girl is overdone but I would have loved this version if I could see more of it. I wish there wasn’t so much text in the way of the image! Half the cover is just text.

Magic: To some, it’s spectacle. To others, it’s proof that there’s more to life than meets the eye. To Jonah, it means one simple thing: money. A shaman for hire, Jonah knows how to tap into his powers as easily as he can turn on a light switch, but the real money is in putting on a show.

That is, until a mysterious woman makes him an offer he can’t afford to refuse: $20,000 all if he finds a little thing called the Ledberg runestone, legend of Norse mythology. With debt collectors like the Carver brothers breathing down his neck, the offer should be tempting, but when they threaten his father’s life, it becomes a mission Jonah must take.

As he starts to explore Asheville’s seedy magical underbelly, however, Jonah soon discovers he’s not alone on the hunt. Powerful forces want this stone. Will Jonah survive long enough to save his father, or will his meddling with the mystical finally get him killed?

Totally agree with Rebecca on the Nathan Fillion look alike cover model. This cover is overall good, and it really does a good job of conveying urban fantasy vibes.

Rebecca Says

The cover model has a Nathan Fillion/Han Solo thing going on and I’m digging it. The colors are great, with the bright yellow and green in the centre drawing the eye. It looks like it’s a lot of fun.

Kate Says

This is kind of a cheapy looking cover for such a well-known author. I don’t like that we can’t see the face of Catwoman.

Rebecca Says

The cat face in the middle of the bank vault just looks a little silly. Maybe they were also trying to make it look like a belt? It doesn’t look like the model is wearing the superhero costume, so I’m not sure why she’s wearing the cat ears besides telling the audience that this is Catwoman.

Love this, it looks a little like the original trilogy but is different enough to show it’s a spinoff. Plus, the colors are amazing together. This cover would really make me want to pick up the book and check it out.

Rebecca Says

I love the design! There’s some depth to the images that makes me wonder if sections will be embossed on the print version. It’s eye catching and I love the character’s dress

Kate Says

This is terrifying. The wolf eyes are on the man’s chest? WTF. Super not a fan.

Rebecca Says

As wolf covers go, this isn’t too bad. I like that the focus of the cover is the wolf’s eyes but there’s a lot going on with the wolf, the man, and the winter scene on the bottom.

Why does the man have wolf claw marks down his pectoral muscles??? The title is clever though.

Rebecca Says

Headless muscle-y torso and wolf? Yawn. However, I do like the font that was used for the cover.
