From national bestselling author Dakota Cassidy comes the latest in a series that "gets better and better with each book" (Bitten By Books).

Firefighter McAllister “Mick” Malone knows he has a protective streak, especially when it comes to his deceased best friend’s sister, Tessa. But after twenty-five years of verbal sparring, Mick can’t help but notice that their recent arguments have started to feel a lot like foreplay. And while Tessa knows exactly what to say to get him going, Mick is thrown for a loop when he actually starts breathing fire.

Antique-store owner Tessa Preston has loved Mick Malone since she was ten years old—not that she’d ever admit it. Fighting with Mick is the only thing keeping her from an embarrassing romantic confession, but when the sexy firefighter accidentally ingests some ancient dragon scales masquerading as powdered aspirin, Tessa finds herself handling something much hotter than long-simmering sexual tension…

Dakota Cassidy is one of the authors I tend to grab the newest book for as soon as it comes out. Her books are always a wonderful mix of sweet, sexy, and seriously funny. THE ACCIDENTAL DRAGON is full of fun sexy paranormal hijinks and a breeze to read through. I tend to finish the Accidentals series in one sitting in part because of the excellent comic timing, weird situations, and quirky characters but also because I tend to have a hard time pulling myself away from the story.

THE ACCIDENTAL DRAGON features another way someone can become a supernatural and by the ninth book in this series I am kind of amazed by all of the ways someone can become not human. I'm waiting for someone to be sneezed on and turned into a fairy in the next book. Tess and Mick have a love-hate sort of relationship and  I kind of loved their dynamic as they just really know how to push each other's buttons.  The way these two crazy kids finally get together was really funny to read especially waiting  to see what else these two are going to have to do as a result of Mick accidentally becoming a dragon.

THE ACCIDENTAL DRAGON is a fun, satisfying story and one I will definitely be going back to read whenever I feel the need to read something that will have me smiling at the end.
