Lyrical’s artist Renee Rocco did an excellent job in capturing the tone of SOULFIRE. Even the cover model’s stance perfectly fits my hero, Lucius–controlled and brooding. These are the men we love to see slip their chain. And Lucius certainly does. Thanks for sharing, ATUF. You rock!
Tensions are rising in the Gladium Province. The boundary between humans and Morgons, the dragon-hybrid race, has begun to blur. While the human aristocracy strives to maintain distance between Morgon men and their daughters, fate has other plans.
Jessen Cade is the daughter of the wealthiest human family in the province. As corporate king, her father arranges a marriage to a man she detests, solely to increase the Cade empire. Feeling trapped by family duty and a loveless future, she longs for more, straying to the Morgon side of the city.
Lucius Nightwing is the eldest son of the most powerful Morgon clan, and the greatest enemy of Jessen’s father. When a bar-room brawl thrusts Jessen into his arms, his dragon roars to the surface, craving to sate his carnal hunger in the brown-eyed beauty. The beast in Lucius recognizes her as his own, even if the man refuses to admit the truth.
When star-crossed lovers succumb to burning desire, can love rise from the ashes, changing their world forever?
Juliette calls lush, moss-laden Louisiana, home where the landscape curls into her imagination, creating mystical settings for her stories. From the moment she read JANE EYRE as a teenager, she fell in love with the Gothic romance–brooding characters, mysterious settings, persevering heroines, and dark, sexy heroes. Even then, she not only longed to read more books set in Gothic worlds, she wanted to create her own.
When she isn’t writing, she’s with her husband at one of her four children’s extracurricular activities—football games, band events, or swinging the three-year-old at the park. Other than that, she’ll be in the kitchen cooking up a heap of something to feed her healthy brood (preferably gumbo) or hiding away, watching Masterpiece Theatre
