Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life’s irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her nutso cousin and dealing with her dad’s untimely and unexplained demise.

That’s where Vic Barinov comes in—or his house does. Vic can’t step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash and getting the TV remote sticky. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he’ll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge…

BITE ME is my favorite kind of paranormal romance. Its clever and a little bit wacky with fun characters, an exciting story and has an entertaining romantic journey. I found myself re-reading certain parts just because of their sheer awesomeness or hilarity. The shifters in the Pride series are loud, violent, sexy, tough and I love each and every one of them. The plot is super fun and the writing is dark and witty surrounding a mission to avenge Livy's father's death.

Since Livy is more or less an upstanding citizen and award winning photographer she is the black sheep of a honey badger family whose occupations tend to lean towards thieving and conning. Considering her introduction in WOLF WITH BENEFITS involved Livy beating up a poor werelion I expected her family to be a bit crazy. As it turns out, she's the sane one!  Livy has issues expressing feelings beyond disdain and outright anger but makes up for it with determination and loyalty. There is one moment involving Bear jousting that really proves that you don't want to mess around with a honey badger especially since these guys take their alcohol poison and play with deadly snakes for fun. Vic is the perfect foil for Livy, as a powerful hybrid bear-tiger shifter who is so sweet and surprisingly able to 'get' Livy when others don't. While the romance was at times secondary to the main plot it was great fun to see these two resist their inevitable falling in love.

BITE ME is a wonderful read filled with dark humor, intense romance, and craziness. I loved getting cameos of characters from previous Pride series books and Livy and Vic were excellently matched with each other. If you like your paranormal romance with a heavy dose of cheekiness then this is the series to read.
