Abigail’s Thoughts

Love the wash and that necklace is gorgeous…where can I get one?

Julia’s Thoughts

At first glance, these covers seemed disconnected.  I like how the colors brighten up and the flower reoccurs, but I still don’t feel like they have a strong link.  I do like this particular cover, though, the curve of the hand looks beautiful with both the necklace and the title.

Kristina’s Thoughts

Very pretty use of colors there and that is a really nice looking necklace. Oh, and Hilary Duff wrote a book?! Okay, I did not expect that.

” It is BEEEE-U-TIFUL!” – Faith Hunter

Abigail’s Thoughts

I’m always so impressed when publishers go all out on novella/ebook only covers. This looks just as good as the full length covers

Julia’s Thoughts

There should be a little more tilt in the title to really match the full length covers, but this is a great eSpecial/novella cover.  Jane looks a little more sultry than usual, but I don’t mind the change up.

Kristina’s Thoughts

This is one badass looking cover. Is that a different model from the full length covers because they should be using her for this series…

Zoe is free. She has escaped the enslavement of the Community, disconnected from the hardware that had controlled her every thought and emotion, and evaded capture by the Chancellor intent on killing her. She is finally free, but she is far from safe.

Zoe and Adrien hide themselves from detection at the Foundation, an academy that trains teen glitchers to fight in the Resistance movement. Together, Zoe and her new team of superhuman fighters must risk their lives to rescue other glitchers and humans from the Chancellor’s control. Challenges abound at every turn, and Adrien, who has become silent, distant, and tormented by his visions of the future, only adds to the growing certainty of defeat. But worst of all, as Zoe’s team fights against impossible odds, distrust and betrayal leads to the terrible discovery that their greatest threat could already be lurking behind the safe walls of the Foundation.

Abigail’s Thoughts

Nice. It’s different from the debut, but still complimentary. I do wish they’d kept the circuit detail on the title, but I still like this.

Julia’s Thoughts

I like the glow on this cover, but it seems a lot less mysterious and intriguing than GLITCH.  More SciFi than Fantasy.

Kristina’s Thoughts

Nice continuation from the previous cover. Although it looked like she was cutting her wrist at first which was kind of weird.

Abigail’s Thoughts

This is kinda cute, but very plain.

Julia’s Thoughts

I like the purple on greyscale, but I wish the middle title had a little curve or movement like the subtitle.

Kristina’s Thoughts

Very plain looking but not horrible.

Abigail’s Thoughts

It’s tricky to tell, but the shadows off the title are patterned. It’s a nice detail that elevates this otherwise completely ho-hum cover.

Julia’s Thoughts

A new main character and a new cover look.  The title treatment is the main focus on this one.  I like the red highlights, and the mist swirling over the letters of the title, but this cover doesn’t really jump out for me.

Kristina’s Thoughts

I was debating between middle or up for this one. I like the details around the title except the “U” looks like a “V” in “Souls”

“Holy crap, guys! Penultimate Walker Papers book! (And damn, I wish I’d thought of saying RAVEN CALLS was the antepenultimate book when it came out, ’cause I love that word.” – C. E. Murphy

Abigail’s Thoughts

This is my new favorite cover for this series. So many nice, but subtle details.

Julia’s Thoughts

Perfect staging for the photo, and I like how the belt and bracelet add some shaman-touches.

Kristina’s Thoughts

I like the positioning of the model laying on the tree trunk. Nice angles. Its a little different from the previous covers but not so much to be jarring.

“Isn’t it GORGEOUS? And my story, STILLWATER, totally fits with it!” – Valerie Kemp

Abigail’s Thoughts

This isn’t the final cover, but they’ve released it anyway. The moonlight pouring through the letters is really pretty. I wish there was something more though.

Julia’s Thoughts

The lighting through the trees and title is awesome.  The squared up authors’ names look a little stark by contrast, but the overall result is eye catching.

Kristina’s Thoughts

I like the moonlight shining through the titles. It gives an ominous feel to the cover.

Abigail’s Thoughts

Why the sudden switch to headshots after six books? I don’t get it. He looks a little dirty and not in a sexy way.

Julia’s Thoughts

None of this really works for me.  The orange font looks harsh, and despite the nice shade of blue they picked for his eyes, his angry expression isn’t attractive at all.

Kristina’s Thoughts

Is he supposed to be sexy looking. He looks like he’s going to start a fight with you which is not sexy. Serious downgrade from the previous covers in this series.

The What the Spell? book lookks like a memoir rather than fiction. I like the Hillary Duff cover but like you said, it doesn’t quit fit the series.
