It’s a madhouse this week, and not just because AllthingsUF was down for a day and a half. Abigail, Kristina, and I have all differed in our Best and Worsts, a testament to the broad array of covers revealed. I admit, my hormones may have cast the deciding vote, but I can’t resist a man with stubble (let alone stubble *and* wings). Which cover caught your eye?

When you can’t trust yourself, who can you believe?
Everything about Anna’s life is a secret. Her father works for the Branch at the helm of its latest project: monitoring and administering treatments to the four genetically altered boys in the lab below their farmhouse. There’s Nick, Cas, Trev . . . and Sam, who’s stolen Anna’s heart. When the Branch decides it’s time to take the boys, Sam stages an escape, killing the agents sent to retrieve them.
Anna is torn between following Sam or staying behind in the safety of her everyday life. But her father pushes her to flee, making Sam promise to keep her away from the Branch, at all costs. There’s just one problem. Sam and the boys don’t remember anything before living in the lab—not even their true identities.
Now on the run, Anna soon discovers that she and Sam are connected in more ways than either of them expected. And if they’re both going to survive, they must piece together the clues of their past before the Branch catches up to them and steals it all away.
“I won’t even bother saying much, since no words can compete with a cover reveal. Especially a cover featuring a shirtless guy. So, here it is! I love it. LOVE IT. I hope you do too.
“ - Jennifer Rush
Abigail’s Thoughts
The pop of neon against the B&W image is striking, and the branches lifting off from his skin is very cool.
Julia’s Thoughts
A great image, though closer inspection has me wondering where those trees are coming from…
Kristina’s Thoughts
I really like the branches on his back and that title is a neat contrast in design from the black and white of the rest of the cover.

Taking place after Wicked as They Come, this original eBook features a mysterious lady and a reclusive mechanical genius who find love and danger in a traveling circus. She opens her trunk to reveal a menagerie of brilliantly colored butterflies. The woman, who calls herself Madam Morpho, is on the run from a dark past in London, where she was forced to leave her equipment behind and abscond with only her tiny performers. Playing a hunch, Criminy hires Madam Morpho on the spot. Taking her down to meet Mr. Murdoch, the reclusive talented engineer who keeps the carnival’s clockworks running, Criminy instructs them to work together to design and build a groundbreaking new circus for the butterflies. Amid the magical ambiance of the circus and the hint of danger from Madam Morpho’s pursuers, she and Mr. Murdoch soon find that their scientific collaboration has produced chemistry of a more romantic kind.

Abigail’s Thoughts
I don’t hate this (even though it’s very generic), my problem is that has no connection to the full length covers. I would never have guessed this was part of the Blud series.
Julia’s Thoughts
I love the reflection in her eye, but I wasn’t crazy about the “brush stroke” effect on her face. Still, for a novella, this cover is great. Not as stark and steampunk as WICKED AS THEY COME, but a good cover overall.
Kristina’s Thoughts
I like the amber colored eye and the gears mixed in with the butterflies. The design on the butterflies almost looks ‘steampunky’ to me.

The second book in the darkly tempting Blud series, featuring a vampire princess who embarks upon a dangerous journey to claim what is rightfully hers. When Blud princess Ahnastasia wakes up, drained and starving in a suitcase, she’s not sure which calls to her more: the sound of music or the scent of blood. The source of both sensations is a handsome and mysterious man named Casper Sterling. Once the most celebrated musician in London, Sangland, he’s fallen on hard times. Now, much to Ahna’s frustration, the debauched and reckless human is her only ticket back home to the snow-rimmed and magical land of Freesia.
Together with Casper’s prickly charge, a scrappy orphan named Keen, they seek passage to Ahna’s homeland, where a power-hungry sorceress named Ravenna holds the royal family in thrall. Traveling from the back alleys of London to the sparkling minarets of Muscovy, Ahna discovers that Freesia holds new perils and dangerous foes. Back in her country, she is forced to choose between the heart she never knew she had and the land that she was born to rule. But with Casper’s help, Ahna may find a way to have it all….
“Did you like Casper in Wicked as They Come? YOU’LL LIKE HIM MORE.
Hate Casper in Wicked as They Come? YOU’RE GOING TO LOVE HIM NOW.
You’re a straight dude? Sorry. You’ll just wish you had his dimples.” - Delilah S. Dawson
Abigail’s Thoughts
Yes, he’s wearing a puffy shirt. Aside from that, this does fit with the first cover, though I would have liked a more ‘wicked’ looking guy like the debut had.
Julia’s Thoughts
Thank you, sir, can I have another? That smile and his stance are exactly as wicked as I could want, yum. Less sleaze and more smolder than WICKED AS THEY COME, this cover is my favorite in the series.
Kristina’s Thoughts
He doesn’t look very wicked in comparison to the guy on the cover of the first book. Not a big fan of his puffy shirt but its an okay cover.

Abigail’s Thoughts
The dress has me wondering about how much of this story is going to be more historical flashbacks…?
Julia’s Thoughts
I love the use of color in these covers, and the pink highlights really kick next to the title. The switch from tube tops to a ball gown seems incongruous, but her tattoos have gotten even better over the series.
Kristina’s Thoughts
Interesting how she is facing us and we get no back tattoo on this cover. Also nice dress…That’s also a contrast from the previous covers. Is this going to be a game changer book for the series?

Abigail’s Thoughts
This one is my favorite from this series. It’s softly romantic.
Julia’s Thoughts
The expressions are a little off for me, more sedated than seductive. And that dagger looks like it may be an unpleasant surprise for our heroine…
Kristina’s Thoughts
Very romantic looking. The gold helps make the cover feel very romantic and warm.

Abigail’s Thoughts
Another beauty. Great pose again too.
Julia’s Thoughts
Well, she doesn’t look into it either, but at least this hero looks like he wants to make out. I like the lighting on her skin, she looks luminous.
Kristina’s Thoughts
Nice choice of red to go with blood and romance. Very romantic and beautiful cover.

Abigail’s Thoughts
This series has such interesting covers in the way they blend fantasy with urban elements. This one isn’t as strong as the previous cover, but the cool colors and white wolf front and center are eye catching.
Julia’s Thoughts
This cover really makes it look like the wolf is the prey, which fits perfectly with the protective Melanie watching over her sister Ann.
Kristina’s Thoughts
The nature scene is very cool and the white wolf really stands out. It has a earthy feel to it as well.

Abigail’s Thoughts
Typical ebook cover. Nice that they carried over the same font, but some sort of focal image would have gone a long way.
Julia’s Thoughts
Matching the sky with the author’s font color looks too monochromatic. I like the title font, but it’s placement looks too “symmetrical” and lined up, and that rigidity overpowers the flow of the font.
Kristina’s Thoughts
I like the script for the title and the tree line against the purple sky.

Because of what you are, the Believers will hunt you down.
Voices told Lucas Darby to run. Voices no one else can hear. He’s warned his sister not to look for him, but Rayne refuses to let her troubled brother vanish on the streets of LA. In her desperate search, she meets Gabriel Stewart, a runaway with mysterious powers and far too many secrets. Rayne can’t explain her crazy need to trust the strange yet compelling boy—to touch him—to protect him even though he scares her.
A fanatical church secretly hunts psychic kids—gifted “Indigo” teens feared to be the next evolution of mankind—for reasons only “the Believers” know. Now Rayne’s only hope is Gabe, who is haunted by an awakening power—a force darker than either of them imagine—that could doom them all.
“This cover was inspired by the first appearance of the mysterious Gabriel Stewart in Indigo Awakening, a runaway boy who rescues my brave girl, Rayne Darby, from a gang of thugs after they follow her into an abandoned zoo at night.” - Jordan Dane
Abigail’s Thoughts
I didn’t peg this as a YA initially, but I like the mystical/electric wolf…very unusual.
Julia’s Thoughts
Very chilly and futuristic, this looks more like horror than UF to me.
Kristina’s Thoughts
I love the wolf formed out of the smoke? energy? magic? And the top of the title becoming smoke is a neat touch.

Abigail’s Thoughts
I wish they would have added color to set the title off like on the debut, but otherwise the image is strong in a HUSH, HUSH sort of way.
Julia’s Thoughts
This cover is too stark and one-tone to work for me, and the background elements (hallway and smoke) don’t seem to be apart of the same image. As a novella this would be passable, but it really doesn’t work for a full length book.
Kristina’s Thoughts
Very gothic feeling and I love the title script for this series.

Abigail’s Thoughts
I’m crazy about this font. The rest of the cover looks quite a bit like Lauren Kate’s Fallen series, but’s still very pretty in a a gothic way.
Julia’s Thoughts
The rosy sky makes the cover model stand out, the division is a little stark for my tastes. I like the title font, though.
Kristina’s Thoughts
Very gothic feeling and I love the title script for this series.
A Highland Werewolf Wedding by Terry Spear
“Hug a Highland Hunk Monday! Or…any day, really!” - Terry Spear
Abigail’s Thoughts
I can no longer distinguish one cover from the next in this series. It’s good for the covers to go together, but this just feels like the same cover over and over again.
Julia’s Thoughts
I love how the cover model and the wolf have the same stare. And a kilt, excellent.
Kristina’s Thoughts
Kind of boring.

Love it!” - Katie Reus
Abigail’s Thoughts
The cool grays and blues are beautiful. I also really like that they switched up the pose this time. Having the title banner across her hips helps tone down the overtly sexual position too.
Julia’s Thoughts
The blue really works for me, and I love the color splash behind the titles in this series.
Kristina’s Thoughts
I like the colors and lighting in this one. It is a slight change from the previous covers with her kneeling and the wolf in the background. The added wolf is very nice.

Abigail’s Thoughts
This is the best cover since RAZIEL. It captures his easy strength which I love. Anyone else think he looks like Aaron Eckhart?
Julia’s Thoughts
That’s Sean Bean’s chin! An angel with stubble? I’m in love.
Kristina’s Thoughts
Wow. This is a really nice cover. I don’t know why but he just seems so powerful looking. Possibly his squatting position? Completely off topic but I wonder if leather pants are a hinderance to fighting? I guess if you’re an angel it doesn’t matter.

Abigail’s Thoughts
Very cool. There is so much action on this cover.
Julia’s Thoughts
I like how we still have the model from CONTROL POINT in the team, a great detail.
Kristina’s Thoughts
It looks like an action movie poster. It has a lot of action on it and very big guns which is awesome.

Tons of great new covers this week! Lots of werewolves, which I like. You missed one BTW unless you have it up on Pinterest… Hot Blooded by Amanda Carlson. It’s sooo puurrrty!
It’ll be in the next post. We do these a few days in advance since we all have to comment. I did see HOT BLOODED though and it looks great. My review of FULL BLOODED will be up soon too–it was awesome.
