10) When you can’t sleep at night, you blame it on the full moon.

9) You’re convinced the checkout lady at the drugstore is a witch, because you always manage to forget one thing on your list.

8) When your neighbor comes home late, you make sure his garage light goes off in a reasonable amount of time and no bloody footprints lead into the house.

7) When you go on a girl’s weekend with your pals, you opt to share one room, not because it’s cheaper, but so the dark fae won’t be tempted to visit.

6) You’re convinced Sookie and Eric actually exist and plan on spending your next vacation in Bon Temps, LA.

5) When you see a hot guy, no matter where he is, you wait for his eyes to spark.

4) When you’re in a stressful situation, you clench your fists and wait for your “powers” to hit.

3) Every time you open the mail you hope your “Prophesy” has some how found you.

2) When you dress up for a night out, you imagine it morphing into leather later, so you’ll get to kick some ass.

1) When you go out into the sun, you check your skin to make sure you’re not sparkling.

Jessica McClain was born the only female in an all male race. The only problem is-she’s no wolf. Called a curse, a witch and the Daughter of Evil by the superstitious wolves, Jessica decides to fight for her freedom, at age nineteen, the only way she can-in the ring. When she’s brutally attacked right after her fight, is it enough to finally earn her freedom off Compound, or will she be forced to endure the hatred even longer . . .

Thanks, lady!! Okay, so REAL UF readers don't check for Sparkle, but funny is funny. The fact that they sparkled in the first place is enough. That joke is the joke that keeps on giving. Plus, I wouldn't throw Rob out of bed for sparkling. Jus' sayin'.

  2. Amanda Carlson

LOL, Shain!! I can't tell from here, but you look sparkle-free to me!!

I think it would be fun to add some more! Do you have a good one to add??

  3. Amanda Carlson

Paige, I've actually done the finger flex, hoping my claws might wolverine out!! No joke. I guess that's why I love what I love. Who doesn't need claws once in a while?

I read Blooded this weekend. I really liked it and can't wait for Full Blooded to come out!

You had me laughing out loud when I read this, awesome list. And come on, who doesn't stuff their leather pants in their purse when you go out at night?!

  6. Amanda Carlson

Thanks, Tracy!! So glad you liked it! That makes me so happy.

@Lexi, I just keep the leather on under my jeans and do a Hulk type rip when someone pisses me off. Works every time.

  7. Aman

@PuttPutt I'm so glad you laughed! Laughing is my cure all for anything and Jessica, my protag, does her share too!

@smitten Kat, we'll do a Top 10 next time!! I had so much fun with this.

Thanks again to ATUF for hosting me! I had a great time.

When I use to go to the bar with my friends, I had my own little game in my head. Everytime I saw a tall, dark, hot guy in the corner or off by himself, I would guess if he was a vamp, shifter, demon, etc. lol. And I thought everybody did #4 😉

  9. Amanda Carlson

@Heather I still do that!! There was a particular cover model at RT who had the strangest body shape I'd ever seen. He was totally a shifter!!

@Cathy I still hope my prophesy hits!If not, my heroine gets hers, LOL.
